Process of individualized instruction in mathematics class room

Each and every classroom of our country’s schools have students of various learning abilities, such as fast learners, slow learners, the users  and non-users of practicalmaterials. A teacher of mathematics should always help students in exposing their inherent talent and assist them in their personality development. Moreover, for effective learning, a math teacher should adopt the following process and facilities the students of different learning abilities.

• Specify what mathematics is to be learned.
• Motivate student to learn mathematics.
• Select method according to the need and interest of students.
• Divide groups according to the ability, interest and need of students.
• Provide instructional materials to foster learning.
• Present materials at a rate appropriate for different students.
• Monitor students’ progress.
• Diagnose difficulties and provide remediation.
• Praise and provide encouragement remediation.
• Select and decide minimum and maximum learning outcomes and promote for the new lesson that has attained minimum one.
• Review and practice.

हाम्रो देश बहुभाषिक , बहु सांस्कृतिक , बहुधार्मिक तथा भौगोलिक विकटता तथा आर्थिक तवरले भिन्ना भिन्नै मानिसहरूको बसोवास भएको मुलुक हो ।तसर्थ यहाँ विभिन्न प्रकारका वातावरणबाट प्रभावित बालबालिकाहरु रहेका छन् । बहु जाति , बहु भाषी , बहु संस्कृतिक र बहुविविधायुक्त समाजबाट हरेक खाले केटाकेटी कक्षाकोठामा आउँछ्न ।यस्ता विभिन्न भाषिक परिवेशबाट आएका विदयार्थीहरुलाई शुदध नेपाली भाषा सिकाउनु आफैमा कठिन कार्य हो। त्यसमाथि त झन दिन प्रतिदिन बढ्दै गइरहेको अन्य भाषाको मोहले त झन यस समस्यालाई पश्रय दिएको पाइन्छ । नेपाली भाषा सिकाईमा जे जस्ता समस्या आएपनि बालबालिकालाई उचित संस्कार दिन , सिकाइको जग बसाल्न , सामाजिक निति नियम सिकाउन नेपाली भाषा अपरिहार्य रहेको छ। नेपाली भाषा कक्षाकोठा तथा अन्य ठाउँमा सिकाउदा र शिक्षण गर्दा विभिन्न तरिका अपनाउन सकिन्छ। सर्वप्रथम सम्बन्धित बिधागत पाठको सामान्य परिचय दिने , आदर्श पठन , उच्चारण अभ्यास, सस्वर वाचन अभ्यास , शब्दार्थ निवारण र स्वतन्त्र प्रयोग , मौन पठन , पठन बोधात्मक प्रश्नोत्तर , छलफल , श्रृतिबोधात्मक अभ्यास , मौखिक व्याख्या वा वर्णन , श्रृतिलेखन , प्रश्नोत्तर लेखन , भाषातात्विक अभ्यास ९ वर्ण विन्यास , लेख्य चिन्ह , शब्द भण्डार र व्याकरण ० आदि कार्यकलाप वा शिक्षण प्रक्रिया आवश्यकता अनुसार गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ। कम्प्युटर तथा भिडियो शैक्षिक सामाग्रीको प्रयोग , ईन्टरनेटबाट चाहिने सामाग्री खोज्ने वातावरण तयार हुनुपर्छ । घर छिमेक देखि विदयालयसम्म नेपाली भाषा प्रयोगलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्नुपर्छ। नेपाली भाषाले नेपालीको पहिचान बोकेको छ ।आफ्नो भाषामा सामाजिक नितिनियम , संस्कार , सद्गुण रहेको हुँदा आजको बदलिँदो परिवेशमा हर तह तप्काबाट नेपाली भाषाको जर्गेना गर्न अति आवश्यक छ ।

Importance of English Language

 

Modern English spread around the world through the worldwide influence of the British Empire. Through all types of printed and electronic media, and spurred by the emergence of the United States as a global superpower, English has become the leading language of international discourse and the lingua franca in many regions and in professional contexts such as science, navigation and law. Speaking English helps the people of different nationalities to understand each other’s culture, values and sentiments. This way it serves as a powerful means to promote fraternity that results in better relations among individuals, societies and countries.  These all attributes contribute to world peace.

English is the third most widespread native language in the world, after Standard Chinese and Spanish. It is the most widely learned second language and is either the official language or one of the official languages in almost 60 sovereign states. There are more people who have learned English as a second language than there are native speakers. It is the most widely spoken Germanic language, accounting for at least 70% of speakers of this Indo-European branch. English has a vast vocabulary, though counting how many words any language has is impossible.

So our school, Spring Dell Academy focuses on speaking English language in its premises and outside too. For the improvement of English language, our school has managed facility of library, internet, multimedia hall, workshops, IELTS training and other co- curricular activities like speech and debate programs,etc. Students use to communicate in English with their teachers and their friends. They are giving priority tolisten English news and other radio programs. I, as an English teacher also teach themby using color, text, audio and visuals teaching materials.

Social Studies in school

The Social Studies means the study of the world community  including geography, human civilizations, history, political science, International relationship among the countries of the world, etiquettes etc..  For this subject teaching, it is necessary to know / update the world current events occurring in the different parts of the world.  It is a vast and compulsory subject of school curriculum because of its importance for high human values and norms, character development of world citizens and for the awareness of the environment and society we live in.  Its learning can be fulfilled by four important methods like text, color, audio, video with the help of multi- media approach, inclusive of students class room group activities, map work practice,  educational tour / excursion from time to time, listening world news by teachers and students as well.  The evaluation of this subject now-a-days SDA follow by 50% formative and 50% summative assessment is more appropriate for students’ creativity.  In   the context of modern education system, students’ active participation in   the learning of this subject (student’s oriented education) will be more successful and meaningful.  This subject can help to make a person to be a modest and bonafide citizen in the world community and for carrying out social service in the society.

To enable learners, to fully participate in both the academic and social aspect of school life.  Educators need to recognize how this phenomenon impacts on teaching and learning and identified ways to support language and development.

SDA highly focuses on students’ accuracy and fluency of English language by providing efficient materials in language classes. We believe that language is learn through real language Environment. Importance of Magazine cut outs

The pictures cutout from different magazines and newspapers are called magazine cutout. They can be the scenes, mountains, hills, fountains, bird’s, festivals, pictures of animals, colorful fish cutouts from the old magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, greeting cards etc.  They can be displayed on the flannel board, magnet board, pocket chart, etc. They are very useful and free of cost teaching aids for different purposes. Cutout figures are particularly important to teach vocabulary, grammar, oral and written compositions and situational .use of language. Magazine cut out cover wide range of topics which provide facts, data and stories that serve as supplements to subject matter. Cut out offer to students a real natural source of language.

If young people and adults are encouraged to read magazines, it often leads to a lifelong habit of reading all sorts of other printed materials too. In a more inspiring way, magazines can help students to develop not only reading skill but also writing, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skill.

Montessori Teaching Strategies 

Montessori is widely used child friendly teaching learning method for kids which help them to learn with fun in natural and parental environment. It is the foundation of whole child including physical, emotional,mental, spiritual and social ways of being.

Montessori is the play method which encourages the children to learn by themselves which prepares them for the challenges of today and tomorrow .It is also an educational method that begins with observation of child. We observe their interest and desire that motivate them to express themselves through work. There are two types of method of teaching, concrete and abstract. Both materials those are presented with precision and care.

There are some reasons for why we should send our children to Montessori.

1. Learns to treat the environment with respect.
2. Develops his\her observational skill through the use of five senses.
3. Develops skill of thinking systematically and logically about what

might happen next.

In general, it will be beneficial to students, households, employers, employees, Government Institution etc. With the help of this generalization, they will be able to minimize the cost and help in proper management of finance. Importance of Science subject

Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanation and prediction of the universe. It is about a whole and to sum it up we believe that science is the way of helping the brain grow in finding new knowledge and helps us defeat our curiosity of how the world develops and works today. Science is important because it has helped form the world that we live in today.

Why do we have to learn science in school? Understand the world around them and their role in that world. Understand the role of science plays in our society. Develop skills of planning and conducting investigations, gathering information, team work and evaluating their findings. Act responsibility when using scientific equipment and applying scientific knowledge. How does the science work in school level? The linear stepwise representation of the process of science is simplified but it does get at least one thing right. It capture the core of logic science : testing ideas with evidence. Science makes technology possible. Science play important role for developing country like us. Scientific advancement and technological modernization are not just a aspect of growth, but vital factor in social welfare and economic modernization of a country. In the modern world, an explicit attempt has been made by every nation to improve the quality of human life through the constructive capacities of science and technology.

Importance of ICT

Nowadays we are bombarded with technology. Our parents and grandparents couldn’t dream about devices like computer, cell-phones, video-games which are everywhere right now. Today computers with Internet access are almost in every home and it became essential tool for students. A computer is necessary for college students for three reasons: research, computer programs, and knowledge.
A computer is necessary for college students for research. Research helps students better understand reading assignments which were them given for homework. For example, many foreign students look on the Internet for technical words, which are critical for understanding the text. They look in dictionaries or googling to find adequate explanation of the words. This helps students better understand the reading and do well on the homework. In addition, depending on the college students’ major, they are obligated to do projects .Because of that, they have better chance to be well prepared for projects and get a good grade. Doing research is one reason that a computer is necessary for college students to better understand reading assignments and be well prepared for projects.

Computer programs is another reason that computer is essential for college students. In college typed essays are required from students. For example, some people have bad handwriting skills and they are hard to understand. In Word Microsoft Office program, students can type their essays making them neat, nice and readable. Students meet the requirements and they don’t lower their grade to not doing homework properly. Furthermore, programs help college students to do their assignments. For instance, by using Excel Microsoft Office, economic students can do various charts and graphs showing different statics.
Finally, the last reason that computers are significant for college students is knowledge.

People who read a lot on the Internet increase their wisdom expanding their creativity. For example, students who have to write essays must have many ideas to develop their thoughts. Reading articles on various topics helps students have the information and develop their individual point of view. This provides them to think creatively and write good essays. Moreover, students get their knowledge from news. For instance, people who read currently information, which are upload in every couple minutes, have knowledge about newest events from all over the world what is helpful with their studies and be active during class conversations. Having a computer for college students is important because it helps them to have knowledge to write good essays and be effective during classes. At present, computers have become common source of exchanging thoughts and support for reliable information.
