From the desk of the Principal
We are in the thirteen academic years. SDA is leading by education expert team onwards 2073. Our core motto focuses on the all round development of child. Our rich past assure us that we have many more ahead. “The time is always right to do the right thing.” In my long association with teaching, I have seen my phases of parenting and many faces of life. As I walk through, realize that the bond between a school and a child gets stronger if the adhesive of understanding that any couple. I am very happy that Spring Dell Academy, Karkando is publishing newsletter this year. This is a worthy milestone in the life of any institution, but more so of on that started holistic documentation growth of school activities to all readers. The time has come to express our great fullness to the visionaries of entire team of writer and editors. The efforts made by the school towards academic promotion of the school.
We take this opportunity to compliment the staff and students for their achievements and convey my best wishes on this important progression. I also call upon the parents and students to fully support the school in taking it to greater heights.

SDA, An academic institution adopts high standard multimedia approach. This approach of teaching learning is more effective, enthusiastic, inspirational and interesting. In multimedia approach students learn real world skills related to technology. The combination of text, audio, visual and colour holds the attention of the students and makes them innovative and their learning will be more meaningful. SDA is a home to diverse cultures and religions. This is a store house of creativity which is prevalent in its collection of art and craft. It is the best example for Nepal’s composite culture, Pluralism and inclusiveness.
Understanding the needs of 21st century the team of thirteen promoters who are educationally dedicated and experienced on this field. They run this school with the concept of multiple approach.
Students’ Evaluation System in SDA
Learning is the continuous process. It required lots of indicator to measure the outcomes of the students. Considering the need and system of evaluation and assessment of the learners, SDA introduced Formative Evaluation system which focuses upon students practical participation on the basis of marking system, in total fifty percent is allocated for formative assessment and fifty percent is allocated for Summative assessment. Formative evaluation is categorized by seven different indicators whereas summative assessment is written test.

- Peer Assessment = 5 percentage
- Field work = 5 percentage
- Mock test =10 percentage
- Subject wise Assignment = 10 percentage
- Attendance =5 percentage
- Note book and Diary =5 percentage
And from each terminal examination 50 percentages is allocated.
National Machhapuchhre Cup Swimming Championship
SDA students participated in National Machhapuchhre Cup Swimming Championship which was held in Pokhara.The winners of this competition were Partik Badawal Gold Medalist class eight, Khem Raj Thapa and Subesh Gharti Bronze Medalist from class eight and five respectively and Amit Rawal silver medalist from class four.
Banke Baseball Competition
SDA scored third position in First Inter School Baseball Championship. All together there were ten schools of Banke District. The coach Mr. Chandra Ram Chaudhary has trained the players perfectly which prepares them to take participation in the game as well to win it.
Dance in SDA
Learning is the continuous process. Students learn from various activities. Students have individual innate power. Considering this, SDA conducted one month dance class for the students who are interested in dance. Mr. Milan Thapa a dance teacher from Kathmandu taught fundamental concept and steps of dance to students on the month of Mansir 2074. All together fifty students got benefits who were interested in dance.
House Division in SDA
Every student are born with one unique inborn talent so it is the duty of the school to motivate the students to enhance their hidden talent. Extra Activities helps the students to be creative as well as social. That is also very helpful to maintain their healthy life style. The students are divided into four houses: Yellow, Green, Blue and Red. Each house has their colour house dresses.

Educational Excursion in SDA
Students learn by doing experience in the means of enjoyment and refreshment. Exploring the knowledge of real world life will be more beneficial for the children which help them to be more practical. Students can learn many things from natural environment. So, SDA organized different types of exposure trips, trekking, hiking and tour for the pupils.. In the same way, from class nine and ten students visited Dhanusa, Jhapa, Illam and Taplejung. They observed Janaki Temple, Tea garden, Pathivara Temple, etc. Class 6, 7 and 8 students explored to New Delhi and Agra to visit cultural, religious, social values and historical monuments like Tajmahal, Aakshardham(Water show),Lotus temple, Chandani Chowk, Red Fort. Other Who unable to get chance to visit these mentioned places, school facilitated them to visit Bheri-Babai diversion multi-purpose. They also shared their experiences. These types of tour help them to get much knowledge about the real world.
Pre-school Lucknow zoo visit
Kindergarten students observed zoo on the month of Mangsir 2074. The observation encourages students to observe animals’ behaviour and make them feel connected with wildlife. Parents were invited to accompany their wards to visit the zoo. All the students had carried plenty of water and food. Various students group were formed so that it would be easy to the caretaker and parents. Lunch was provided to every one after visiting the zoo. In the future, the school would conduct many other programs in which parents can play an important role in the education of their children.
Primary School Khairapur Visit
Grade four and five students were visited Khairapur of Bardiya as an educational field trip. Students observed many animals, birds and Krishnasars which provides them knowledge of wildlife and their habitats.
Lower secondary Delhi and Agra visit
The students of grade 6, 7, and 8 explored cultural and religious monuments like Tajmahal, Aakshardham(Water show), Lotus temple, Chandichowk , Red fort. It helps the students to know about the rapidly developed technology and also they got information about the historical places of the neighbour country.
Secondary level Janakpur, Illam, Pathivara visit
Grade nine and ten students were visited to Dhanusa, Jhapa, Illam, Taplejung, Sunsari and Morang to Janaki Temple, Tea garden, Pathivara Temple, etc .The aim of this exposure was to aware the students about our historical, cultural, natural, and manmade places.
Internet Facility in SDA
There is continous internet facility in our school with the help optical fiber leased line. All twenty desktops and five laptops are connected with internet. Students from Nursery to Ten get benifited by getting the world’s new innovation; knowledge and can participate in virtual class. They can also get practical knowledge as well as computer skill.
Professional Development and IELTS for teacher
The creativity workshop is an interactive, experiential workshop dedicated to helping teachers and their students learn how to be more creative. Develop creativity and innovation in math, IELTS, the arts, creative writing, language, humanities and science. Employ the creative process to develop leadership and teamwork skills, as well as peer respect in the classroom. The best professional development is ongoing, experimental, collaborative and connected to and derived from working with students and understanding their needs there were many workshop for teacher and students in SDA such as IELTS, Motivational speech, Multimedia Training etc.
Science Exhibition and Rally
In 8th National Books Exhibition and Educational Fair which was held from 28th Mangsir to 5th Poush, SDA participated in Rally with play cards and science exhibition in educational fair. Under supervision of Science teachers’ from grade six to nine students were involved. They made JCB, Volcano, Ship, cable car, bus etc.
Dashain Festival Celebration and Sharing Wishes
On the date of 6th Asoj SDA celebrated Dashain festival at school. Students made Rangoli and participated in dancing and singing. In this program students offered tika and jamara from principal and other teachers. All teachers, promoters and students shared wishes to each other.
Saraswoti puja and AsharArambha program of SDA
On the occasion of Saraswoti puja, school organized Ashar Arambha program for pre-school students. Parents were invited with their children to visit school on 8th Magh 2074 for counseling.
Inter House Competition in SDA
SDA organized inter house competition to develop and encourage students. The competition was held on 6th and 7th Magh.Different games was carried out as per the level of the students such as Race, High jump, Long jump, Kabaddi, Javeline Throw, Shot put, Spoon marble race, Chocolate race, Sack race and so on.Games and sports are very important for the learners because it burns calories, increase balance, coordination and endurance, helps improve concentration and encourages the development of teamwork. The coach of sports Mr. Chandra Ram Chaudhary trained the students for competition and all the house captains and vice captains monitored the students.
Parents Conference in SDA
The parents- teacher conference is more than a check in on how your child is doing in school. rather this important interaction with your child’s teacher provide the opportunity to work together as a team to ensure both in and out of school.
SDA Hidden curriculum
Academics are an important part of each student’s school year. Extra-curricular activities are other components of a well-rounded education. Outside the regular academic program that may positively impact a students’ success. Besides being fun and a great way to socialize with peers, extra-curricular activities can enhance a students’ time management and stress management skills, improving their overall productivity and academic performance.
